Sophia | Cake Smash!

My sweet, little baby girl turned ONE on October 2nd! That day also happens to be my anniversary! It's  a day that we have the priviledge of sharing with our gorgeous girl :)

Wow! Slacker much?!? I just realized that I never blogged my cousins maternity session from back in JULY!

Barb is married to my cousin Ben, and is one of my favorite people. She's funny (especially when she's mad), passionate, beautiful, a fantastic mom, an even better wife, and she has an amazing heart. She drove up from Phoenix so that I could do her maternity shoot. She knew that I wanted to be a part of her journey with baby #2. We did it early in the morning, it was 100 degrees outside, and she was a trooper the whole time! Totally worth it, don't ya think?... the pics are AMAZEBALLS!

By the way, since the session, Barb had her second boy, Beau, who is absolutely darling! I can't wait til Thanksgiving when I can actually cuddle him!!

Laura, Brian, and a baby in a belly

Sweet Laura and I used to  work together a few years ago. We were pretty much inseparable. We ate lunch together every day, we popped into each others offices, randomly, all day long, and when she moved over to a different location, I was distraught! She was definintely my work best friend.
Now years later, her and hubby Brian are prepping for their baby girl. I am so thrilled for them, and know that they will be amazing parents! I'm sure baby girl will inherit her mama's beauty, and her daddy's golf swing :)

Congrats to you both! There is nothing better in this world than becoming a parent <3

Clothspins to hang clothes?? Naaaahh!

We moved into our new house a few months ago, and although my life is completely boring, what, with 3 kids and all, I haven't been able to work on painting any rooms, or even getting decor up. So, I decided that this weekend, I will start with my daughters room!

Her room was shabby chic before, and I think I'll go ahead and re-create her old room, with some added bonuses. I made these adorable clothspins to use to hang up photos of my cutie Sophia on a twine line. Not to brag, but they are kind of awesome!

It was a fun little project I got to work on with my sister in law who is leaving for Seattle U in 10 days. Sarah, every time you look at your clothspins, you can think of me ;)

Moss madness

So I found these moss letters from Pottery Barn that I absolutely adored... bad news bears though - they were $79 each! I'm a woman on a budget, so instead, I made my own. I have to say, I think mine is just as cute!

The P Family

Goodness, its just the month for me to be photographing my best friends!

Meet another of my bestest friends, Brittney, and her adorable family. Our families spend alot of time together, and I can't imagine our life without them in it :)

I have done their kids pics before (Chase and Kids), but this is the first time I was able to get total family ones. We got up super early for this session, and I must say, I'm really proud of Brittney - as if wrangling children up isn't tough enough, trying to get them to sit still for a priceless memory is almost impossible! Her and Chris kept smiles on their faces the whole time, and if they at any moment felt overwhelmed, it didn't show.

Meet my best friend and her fiance... this sexy couple is tying the knot in just a couple weeks in California! It's gonna be the event of the year ;)

Ordination to the Diaconate 6/3/2011

This was, by far, the most beautiful mass that I had ever been to. Given I was working, I still think I had the best seat in the house!

My father in law, Dan (correction: Deacon Dan), was also ordained on this night. There were so many parts of the mass where I couldn't see through my lens because my tears were taking over.

Being one of the photographers (shout out to Stephen Thalken, my photograpartner), gave me the advantage of studying the mens faces up close. Even through the lens, I could feel the emotion that they were exerting on this special night.

Congratulations to all of you! I feel truly blessed to have been apart of your special day.

Tyler. Chandra. Ashley | Senior

Now this was a senior session kind of day! Tyler's mom had scheduled a session with me, and Tyler's best friends also had a session scheduled with me. Well, why not do it all together!
Chandra and Ashley are sisters, and are some of the sweetest teenagers I have ever met! Tyler is a good friend of theirs, and I could totally tell that they had all grown up together.

We spent 3 hours at a cute little ghost town, and had a great time. Given the wind was like 200 mph that day (give or take a few miles per hour), everyone surged forward with smiles on their faces. What a fun (and overwhelming!) session this was!

I can clearly remember when my friends and I got our senior pics done (not that it was too long ago), but it was sooo much fun, it feels like it was yesterday. I hope this session was just as fun for you 3!

Congratulations on this milestone in life Chandra, Ashley, and Tyler, and good luck in college and with all future endeavors!
